Shipping

Every piece travels in a fitted box with custom padding and arrives by a tracked, insured carrier. Below is the full picture: where I ship, how long it takes, what it costs, how it's packed, and what happens if something goes wrong on the way.
Where I ship
I ship to every country in the EU, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. If your country is not in the checkout dropdown, email me, most destinations can be added on a per-order basis with adjusted shipping. I currently do not ship to addresses subject to EU/UK sanctions.
When it ships
In-stock pieces (anything visible in the catalog with stock > 0) leave the workshop within 5 business days of payment clearing. Most of the time it's faster, many orders ship the same day or the next morning.
Custom commissions are quoted with a carving timeline of 4 to 8 weeks. Larger statues, complex interlace work, and bog-oak pieces sit at the longer end. You'll get a target ship date in the quote and a weekly update if anything changes. Once carving is done, shipping follows the standard table below.
Carriers and timing
I work with two regional carriers and one postal service depending on destination and weight. All shipments are tracked end-to-end; you receive the tracking number by email the day the piece leaves the workshop.
- Within the EU, DPD or GLS, 2–5 business days. Most orders to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Poland arrive in 2–3 days.
- United Kingdom, DPD with customs handling, 3–7 business days. Post-Brexit duties apply (see below).
- Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, registered post with customs declaration, 5–10 business days.
- United States & Canada, registered post via PostNL/USPS handoff, 7–14 business days. Express courier is available on request (DHL Express, 3–5 business days, ~€55 surcharge).
- Australia & New Zealand, registered post, 10–21 business days.
Estimated transit times are courier business days and do not include the ship-out window above. Holiday seasons (December, Easter) and August in Europe routinely add 2–5 days that aren't reflected in carrier estimates.
Costs
Shipping is calculated at checkout from destination and the dimensional weight of the box, not a fixed flat rate. As a rough guide:
- Pendants within the EU: from €8.
- Pendants intercontinental: from €18.
- Masks and small statues within the EU: from €18.
- Masks and small statues intercontinental: from €45.
- Large statues are quoted individually after the order, typically €60–€140 depending on destination.
I do not add a handling fee. The price you see at checkout is what the carrier charges me.
Duties and import taxes
For destinations outside the EU customs union (UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.) the buyer is responsible for any import duties, VAT, or processing fees levied by the destination country. I declare the actual paid value on every customs form, I won't undervalue a shipment, since that would invalidate insurance and is, frankly, fraud.
For UK buyers: post-Brexit VAT on goods up to £135 is collected at checkout per HMRC rules. Goods over £135 are handled by the carrier at delivery (DPD typically charges a £5 handling fee on top of the duty).
Packaging
Each carving is wrapped first in unbleached linen, then nestled in a foam-lined fitted box. Pendants ship in a small wooden gift box that's part of the piece, not landfill. Larger statues travel in double-walled corrugated outers with custom-cut polyethylene cradles. Boxes are sourced from a Polish supplier that uses recycled material.
Tracking
You'll receive an email with the carrier and tracking number the moment the parcel leaves the workshop. The link in that email takes you to the carrier's portal where you can also re-route or hold at a pickup point if you're going to be out.
If something goes wrong
Every shipment is insured at full retail value. If your parcel is delayed beyond the carrier window above, I'll open a trace with the carrier on your behalf. If it's lost, I'll either ship a replacement (when possible) or refund in full once the carrier confirms the loss. If it arrives damaged, see Terms §10, take photos before fully unpacking and email me within 7 days.
Addresses and undeliverable parcels
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a parcel comes back to me as undeliverable (bad address, refused, not collected from a pickup point) I'll email you, and you have the option of (a) re-shipping at your cost or (b) refunding the order minus the outbound shipping I already paid.
Costs and timing are estimates and can shift with carrier rate cards. The price quoted at checkout is final for that order.
